Every mother knows—in so far as she is a mother—that underlying the flow of generations there is at work the primordial magical impulse of the effective cause (‘the Alpha’) of the world and that the final cause (‘the Omega’) of the world will not fail to direct and draw it toward itself. In other words, each mother professes—by the very fact that she is a mother—the divine origin of the world, and the divine aim of the world.

Dear Friends,
A Full Libra Moon (26°) will rise at dusk on Sunday. One of the beautiful things about a ‘Full Moon day’ is the fact that we are never left in darkness. The opposition of our luminaries means that there is always sunlight—either genuine or reflected—above us!
The Aries-Libra polarity unites the worldviews of idealism and realism. Every antinomy—the opposition of two equally valid principles—creates a spiritual challenge. Today’s wrangle: How do we uphold the possibility of an ideal while simultaneously accepting that which already is?
The Sun’s zodiacal position (26° Aries) recalls the Risen One’s appearance to the 500 (16/Apr/33). Jesus spoke some grave words regarding the suffering and persecution that would come to those who were devoted to him. After he had finished speaking, Anne Catherine beheld a remarkable tableau of the disciples:
I saw Peter, Thaddeus, Andrew, and James the Less in another place, where they healed many sick whom lately, in the region of Sichar, they could not cure. Their fault was that, wishing to imitate the great dignity and reserve of Jesus in his demeanor, they did something extraordinary: They assumed an air of importance. They did not give humbly what they had received, but they gave it as coming from themselves; therefore success was not theirs. Now, though, I saw them (and the sight touched me greatly) humbling themselves, kneeling down by the sick, and begging their pardon for having failed to assist them. [Visions, vol. 3, p. 405]
Yet another planetary aspect on Sunday’s roster is a square between Mercury (8°43ʹ Aries) and Pluto (in Capricorn). This planetary relationship prevailed during the Passion, when Jesus brought his Christ-light into the darkness of the depths of the Earth. Consequently, this aspect might stimulate our understanding of what we, over many lifetimes, have contributed to our collective ‘hell on earth’.
Mercury at this degree bears the memory of Jesus’s appearance to the seven at the Sea of Galilee (15/Apr/33), ten days after the Resurrection:
Before going to the sea, the holy apostles went over the Way of the Cross to Mount Calvary, and thence to Bethany, from which place they took with them some disciples. They went by different routes and in different groups to the Sea of Galilee. . . . I heard Peter saying that he had not fished here for three years.
. . . [They cast] their nets here and there between the two ships, but drew them in, always empty. At intervals they prayed and sang psalms. When day was beginning to dawn, the ships approached the opposite side of the mouth of the Jordan, on the eastern shore of the sea. The apostles were worn out and wanted to cast anchor. They had laid aside their garments while fishing, retaining only a linen wrap and a little mantle. When about resuming their clothing, preparatory to taking a little rest, they saw a figure standing behind the reeds on the shore. It was Jesus. He cried out: “Children, have you any meat?” They answered: “No!” Then he cried out again, telling them to cast the net to the west of Peter’s ship. They did so, and . . . now the net was so heavily filled that John recognized Jesus. He called to Peter across the silent deep: “It is the Lord!” At these words, Peter instantly girded his coat about him, leaped into the water, and waded through the reeds to the shore where Jesus was standing. [Visions, vol. 3, p. 401]
Anne Catherine later observed Jesus ‘floating’ over the Holy Land, surrounded by many souls whom he had freed from Limbo. His presence, she said, “was like a pleasant breeze blowing over the country, and joy abounded in all creatures.” [Ibid., p. 404]
Might we, too, not detect the presence of Jesus in every pleasant breeze?
The Sun enters Taurus on Thursday the 15th: Become bright, radiant being. To our independent thoughts—courtesy of the lofty Aries beings—the Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones at work within the constellation of the Bull bestow upon us the capacities of hearing and speech. Thus, through our ability to share our thoughts in conversation, they are given ‘wings’!
During the last hours of Saturday the 17th, the Sun joins Uranus (2° Taurus) for the planets’ annual conjunction. The presence of this conjunction at the Flight into Egypt reveals one of its spiritual currents: alertness to directives from the spiritual world.
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there till I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.” (Matthew 2:13)
May the placement of Uranus in Taurus for the next several years—until 2031—enhance our attunement to spiritual guidance!
